Biography

I started listening to electronic music when I was around 14. I went to my first rave, after hearing some of my cousin's cds and hearing my brother talk about it. So I begged to tag along with them, and here I am now. The first electronic music I listened to was more industrial, and I was really into prodigy and later got into Crystal Method, Fatboy Slim, and the Chemical Brothers. Everyone knows who they are, but I really liked the beats and stuff that they threw together. I started mixing about two years ago, in 2002, on Traktor, a computer program. I mixed happy hardcore mp3z, and it was cheesey as hell, but I think it helped me learn the concept of mixing. a year later, the fall of '03, I started mixing vinyl. I borrowed some of Will's old trance records and started trying. After about a week or so, I got bored and decided to try breaks, something ive always liked anyway. Some of the records had breaks remixes, and I tried it. We went record shopping later that day, got me some breaks records, and it's been a love ever since. I recorded a mix that night, to remember where i was at when i started. After 4 months, I recorded another, as a progress report, and the difference is there.

I began producing around January of 04, and to date, have several tracks of the dirty nuskool/electro influence completed. Producing in alot of ways has made me more creative as a dj, and definately helped me blossom into the little "powerhouse" im known as today.

I run Nemesis Productions, a local crew in Detroit, that has a monthly right now, and I also play a few random club nights here and there. I have a pretty tough schedule as I not only run the whole crew and handle our events, but I handle all the bookings for the boys in my crew, spin records, produce, and run the michigan chapter of dancesafe. Keeping busy and as involved as possible in the electronic music scene, is not only something I adore doing, but something i find highly neccessary.

I'm still sorta new to djing, will be celebrating my 2 year anniversary of playing vinyl at the end of this summer, but thanks to the help from such amazing talents as I've found in detroit, and just others that I talk to, I've definately come into my own.

And just a note - I don't have an official bio yet or anything. I'm kinda wingin' this as of now. I will edit this info in due time.
