Biography

Being one of the leading females in the music industry, Michelle Musial has been an innovator of new music as well as a proprietor of classics. Her triumphant style has pronounced her as a “DJ Diva” amongst a city of enormous talent. Having corporation after corporation strive to recruit the Diva, Michelle will not be held to other people’s way of business. She has established her own successful business by producing new scenes for different genres of music, creating residencies all over Chicago, and remaining active in her community. Her work has assisted many DJ’s and producers to further their own career without thought to herself. Her gift to Chicago grows rapidly with more and more participation in everything she deems worthy.

Having an intimate history with Chicago, and a fascination with technically skilled DJs, gave Michelle her first passion to join the ranks of Chicago’s finest. Michelle grew up in the Chicago suburbs, and became enamored by the local parties that featured hometown legends like, Derrick Carter, DJ Rush, and Colette. But her true love was for a sound coming from across the Atlantic. It was the mish-mash of music genres called U.K. Garage, which marries house, R&B, and breaks, that gained her affection. She quickly introduced U.K. Garage/2-step to Chicago via her first residency, “Sincere,” at Chicago’s famed Mad Bar, as a salute to MJ Cole’s masterpiece. She now has incorporated several styles into her own. Taking the best of house, 2-step/UK Garage, breaks, and techno, her blend has made her a glorious needed addition to a sometimes-monotonous scene.

Michelle has been featured in Chicago's UR Magazine, as well as on the Style Network’s "Big Boutique" show. She has also taken on the responsibility of Breakz Manager for www.hipstepsistaz.com. In addition to her residencies at various clubs around the city (which includes the “W” Hotel/Whiskey Blue, Bar 3, Lava Lounge, and Tini Martini), Michelle has decided to bring back her monthly “Sincere” event to Sugar, a chic, new dessert bar located in Chicago’s Gold Coast. With all these established, you can enjoy Michelle almost every night of the week. Seeing her shake to her own beat and that precious smile, you wont be able to miss this Diva.

Her unique sound is a sensual interplay of hard rhythms and luscious melodies that make your body move and your heart soar. She’s smooth, sexy, and sweet, without the attitude or pretense- it’s a style all her own, that you won’t hear anywhere else.
